| All Is Well Poem |
Well, I smiled after seeing at a glance at the title of this poetry, "All Is Well." It is because it reminds me to an Indian movie I have ever watched entitled "3 Idiots". There is a repeated expression said by the main character, Amir Khan.
In fact, the context of the title is quite different with the expression found in that movie. Below is the the complete poem entitled "All Is Well."
"All Is Well"
There's a smile in her eyes
That welcomes me home
There's a wink that is fetching
That I have come to know
She hails from the clouds
A saint among saints
Soon I'll find here
My fondest hope
She dwells in God's heaven
Loaned to me on earth
She knows the peace
That God has promised
The days are now shorter
The end almost in sight
I know not the hour
When my spirit will depart

Analysis:
I say what a romantic poem it is. The writer expresses about his feeling about in an exaggerating way, hyperbolic. Please pay attention to the 5th and the 6th lines:
She hails from the clouds
A saint among saints
It is impossible for a person to come from the clouds. The writer exaggerates his way of expressing about her nature, "A saint among saints". Is she?
The 9th and 10th lines are also consist of hyperbolic expressions:
She dwells in God's heaven
Loaned to me on earth
Such expressions are exaggerating. In a matter of fact, those expressions are used to state that the girl has a great meaning for him, as he states on the previous line,
Soon I'll find here
The fondest hope.
And the writer ends his poem by conveying his worry (line 17 - 20):
The days are now shorter
The end almost in sight
I know not the hour
When my spirit will depart
