Hanson expresses their feeling in a clear and beautiful way. They offer themselves to come to the one they think need them to accompany.

"When you have no light to guide you and no one to walk beside you" is an expression to state that if only the girl is alone, without anyone care about her, Hanson will like to come to her, to be someone care her about. Hanson will like to come to her in any worst condition she has.

Hanson also offer the more promising thing to the girl as expressed in the following lines:

Hanson says, "We all need somebody we can turn to..." means that everyone need someone we can share with, someone we can tell what we feel, someone we feel free to share anything. 

"So if you feel that our soul is dying and you need the strength to keep trying..." means that Hanson knows well that if the girl need someone to hold, then Hanson offers, "I'll reach out and take your hands."
